Dengue Fever disease is probably already familiar to the ears of the people of Indonesia. This disease can affect anyone, including toddlers or adults. Dengue fever is an acute febrile illness caused by dengue virus that enter through human blood circulation which spread by mosquito bites from genus Aedes, like Aedes aegepty or Aedes albopictus.
When the virus enters human blood, it produces substances that weaken the body's immune system. This causes platelets to drop very drastically, and can cause death.
In Indonesia itself Dengue Fever is not a new disease, because almost every year occurs when the seasonal changes occur, from rain to musin dry musing. Sometimes dengue fever is difficult to distinguish between fever when influenza, sore throat or typhoid, because its symptoms are very similar.
Symptoms of Dengue Fever:
- High fever within 2-7 days
- Red spots on the skin
- Bleeding occurs, eg bleeding gums, nosebleeds, bloody stools
- There is an enlarged heart
- There was shock, the pulse weakened and rapidly, blood pressure decreased, anxiety, cold hands and feet
- Platelets fall and the presence of blood viscosity
Ruthab dates can cure dengue fever, because ruthab dates can increase platelet levels. In addition ruthab dates also has the property of improving body immunity and as a source of energy.
